The Cabin

So this Labor Day weekend my parents were kind enough to let us come up and use their cabin while they were out of town.  We had a blast and that's an understatement.  It was gorgeous weather other than the patchy rain and slight hail we experienced on Saturday but who doesn't love hunkering down in a great cabin in the woods during a little rain?  We got up really really really early and drove through Wyoming to get there.  Our first rest stop of many was the "Lincoln Memorial."  Yep, Wyoming has one too.

After a long drive we arrived at the Cabin and almost immediately hopped on the 4-wheelers and went down to Moose Lake to scout out some fishin'.  Little did we know there were frogs and lots of them.  Frog catching trumps fishing any day... when you're 4ys and 2ys. We caught about 15 frogs in all considering we went back twice to do just that.

Pink sparkle sunglasses are a must when riding such a masculine machine!
Can you find the frog in this picture?  HINT:  Its the small animal with bulging eyes between Tay's fingers.

Then, before the rain on Saturday we had a perfect picnic down at the stream.  I'm pretty sure that Tay turned over every rock in that stream looking for "weird creatures."  He was very successful in finding strange bugs.  Isabelle on the other hand was content sitting in the water fully clothed and digging up rocks to throw back into the stream.

Huggies diapers are the best for a reason.

We had a great time and despite the begging and pleading to "PLEASE! can we stay here forever!!!" we had to pack up and head home.  We can't wait to visit again, hopefully with Nana and Pops this time!
