First Summer Vacation

So we had a great time this weekend when we went to my parent's cabin up near Pineview Dam in Utah. The weather was gorgeous and for the most part the bugs left us alone. We saw moose and hummingbirds, deer and salamanders, and not to mention lots and lots of potguts(large fat squirrel things, not sure what their official name is). We did some fishing and hiking, salamander hunting and wading through streams and marshmallow roasting. It was an absolutely wonderful vacation.

Pops technically caught the two salamanders but who has to know.  Tay could not get enough of them, but I'm pretty sure they had too much of him.  When we had to head back, Tay gave them both a nice high toss back into the pond... hopefully salamanders can survive belly-flops.

Nothing as good as roasted marshmallows, seriously, the kids freaked out when we ran out.  Oh-so-good and extremely addictive to children, apparently.
My cute girl.  I told her she only got marshmallows if she smiled and it worked.
Everyone enjoying around the fire.  Pops was really the best at roasting the marshmallows.  Tay mostly wanted to light them on fire and Bells literally could not stuff them in her mouth fast enough.
We went to Moose Lake to do some fishing.  Bells and me and my mom stayed at a shallower end of the lake and threw rocks in the water.  There were lots of damselflies (tiny dragonflies) all over and Isabelle loved "catching" them, or what most other people would say squishing the living daylights out of them.
This was the fish Tay caught with his Bumblebee Transformer fishing rod, the best fishing pole on the market if you ask Tay.

How fun!! I love that Isabelle's face is covered in marshmallows. They are delicious! Best part of being out in the wild :)
