So a very last minute trip to Cedar City, UT is where we spent our
Christmas vacation and yes, it was magic. Where to begin is a little
hard to decide. After an 11 hour van ride through the snow-capped
Rocky's and through the red-rock desert (what I consider the most
beautiful place on earth) we arrived in Cedar City, UT to spend the
holidays with Uncle Andy and Aunt Jen and cousins Porter and Nora, Grandpa and Grandma and Uncle Jeff. Don't worry, we left a note for Santa by our fireplace telling him
exactly where to bring our presents. We played lots of games (Zingo
being a new favorite in our house), read lots of Christmas stories,
played tons of cars and even got outside to throw some snowballs
around. After opening some very special new PJ's and a comfy new
Autobot robe it was time to climb into bed and wait...
| The Stroller was a HUGE hit. I'm pretty sure she didn't let either of them out of her sight for longer than 15.35 seconds at a time. |
| Playing cars... and more cars... and more cars |
| Isabelle loved the art closet. She's not much of a coloring girl, but to hold those crayons as tight as she can gives her just as much pleasure. |
Sunshine was all it took to get these boys outdoors. Lets not forget to mention it was probably no warmer than 30 degrees or so outside.
When he sees the camera, his first instinct is to throw snow... promptly stopping the picture taking |
| Isabelle, like her cousin Nora, does NOT like the snow or the cold. This is as close as she got to "willingly" going outside - tolerating the coat being put on. |
| ZINGO! a new favorite game in the Burt household. |
| The night before Christmas and all through the house... |
| The kids adorded seeing their Grandma and Grandpa Burt. |
| She opened no other presents herself once she set her eyes on her very own pink stroller. |
| The best Monkey Bread ever made to date in this world. Go ahead and feast your eyes and know that it tasted 25 times better than it look... if you can even believe it. |
| Wondering why there is strawberries on her plate instead of the M&Ms she can see on the counter in front of her. |
| Nothing like a little army men battle to end a great Christmas vacation. |
